April Werle is a First Generation Filipino-American Artist and Muralist.

Werle merges the iconic landscapes of Montana with Bisayan motifs and places hand characters within these spaces. These seemingly out-of-place hand gestures pose the question, “What does it mean to belong?”. For these characters, she creates fused worlds of eastern and western aesthetic, visually expressing her diasporic experience.

Bobbe Almer is an artist living in western Montana. She is inspired by the light falling on the landscapes of the west. Using oil, pastel, and watercolor she captures the light, sharing it through her art. She is also a group and private art instructor who enjoys helping others to discover their creative side.

Claire Emery is an interdisciplinary artist and educator who works for community vitality through her woodblock prints, educational workshops and artist-in-residence programs. Trained as a natural science illustrator, place-based educator, and a contemporary artist, Claire sees art as a catalyst that engages people and communities in creating vitality, resilience and clarity. Claire designs workshops, accepts commissions, illustrates books, and collaborates with scientists, conservationists, farmers, and artists around the state. She sells her original, limited edition woodblock prints through www.emeryart.com. She teaches classes in keeping an illustrated natural history field journal, printmaking, nature drawing, landscapes and the zen of drawing. She has worked as an artist in residence in Montana primary and secondary schools for over 15 years, sponsored by the Montana Arts Council. She has taught at the Missoula Art Museum, Montana Audubon, The Montana Natural History Center, Project WET, the Wilderness Institute, the Watershed Education Network, Montana State Parks, Northwest Connections, and many other venues.

I particularly enjoy sparking curiosity through experimentation with details that suggest a sense of surrealism or story. I prefer to focus on portraying how things feel rather than how they appear.
