We had an amazing time hosting Ella and Nic, the winners of Palmerston North, New Zealand’s “Win A Trip to Missoula” contest from their “Missoula Day” in November 2023. Their Missoula adventure was packed with highlights, including a Pedi Cab ride to the Pearl Jam concert at Washington-Grizzly Stadium, a meet-and-greet with Mayor Davis, and visits to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Draught Works, and Miss Montana Museum of Mountain Flying.
They explored downtown Missoula with a tour of our Public Library, Caras Park, the carousel, and public art, along with the University of Montana campus. They even visited filming locations from “Yellowstone,” dined at Sushi Hana, 1889, Top Hat, Pangea, Camino, and Iron Horse, and enjoyed the Farmers Market and some golden retriever time.
Our sister city relationship with Palmerston North is truly special, and this trip with Ella and Nic beautifully captures the bond between our two countries. A special thanks to Missoula Downtown Association and Destination Missoula!
