The Missoula Art Museum (MAM) is proud to announce the installation of “Es wičms čA̓ es mlk̓ʷmulexʷ t snčf̓l̓ep” (Salish title) or “Coyote is Seeing All of the Land”, a 22-foot-tall steel sculpture by the late Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (1940–2025, Citizen of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Nation) and her son, artist Neal Ambrose Smith (Salish descendant). Installed in front of MAM’s historic Carnegie Library building, this monumental work celebrates Quick-to-See Smith’s lifelong mission to elevate Indigenous voices, dismantle colonial narratives, and honor the land and people of her homeland.
