When you join the Arts Missoula membership program, you are joining a network of people and organizations who are passionate about the importance and the impact of a thriving arts and culture scene in our community. Arts Missoula is dedicated to enriching the cultural fabric of Missoula, providing arts access, and serving as a point of connection and artistic advancement between our members and the broader Missoula community.
All MEMBER BENEFITS
While membership is open to artists and arts organizations from surrounding counties, membership benefits are designed for artists who live or work in Missoula County. Membership programming and in-person benefits such as socials and event discounts, are centered in the city of Missoula and don’t extend beyond the county at this time.

Share info about your upcoming class, art show or opening night! Members can promote any arts related event to our event calendar on our website.

Our socials create an opportunity to connect with other artists and organizations. Join us at our next social, September 9th at Free Cycles!
Members will receive discounts on tickets to Arts Missoula Events, and will have their application fee waived when applying for the Arts Missoula Grant.
Members will be invited to be a guest contributor to our Blogs page, and be invited to be a guest on our radio show “The Source” on 101.5 KFGM

Members receive four free Featured Ads per year to run in our weekly newsletter. These ads are $50 per week for non-members.
Our website is search engine optimized to rank higher in online listings, and offers language translation across the full site so that your content can be accessible to those who speak other languages.
AMPLIFIED VISIBILITY THROUGH OUR MARKETING NETWORK
Arts Missoula invests heavily in marketing that promotes not only our programs and events but also the artists, organizations, and venues connected to our Directory. Through these efforts, our members benefit from an expansive web of paid and earned media reaching thousands of locals and visitors each year.
Our marketing strategy includes print, digital, broadcast, and destination promotion ensuring the arts are visible across Missoula and beyond. Paid placements include the Glacier Country Guide, Destination Missoula Guide, Lively Times, Roxy Theater on-screen ads, Pulp, local radio, billboards, and university campus advertising.
Arts Missoula’s marketing generates ongoing earned media coverage through local radio, TV, and print outlets including the Missoulian and Pulp, while our First Friday map (coming in 2026) will ensure grassroots, face-to-face visibility.
In short, every member enjoys the benefit of collective promotion—leveraging a marketing network that would cost thousands to replicate individually, all while strengthening Missoula’s vibrant arts identity.

Contribute to us, and we’ll give to you.
Contributions from Sustaining Members keep Missoula’s Arts and Culture scene vibrant and thriving. The Arts generate $55 million a year in Missoula alone, and investing in the arts is an investment in Missoula. To show our appreciation, every Sustaining Member is gifted an Arts Card, and receives discounted tickets for Arts Missoula events.
Artist Membership
Actor to Painter. Dancer to Maker. Writers, Musician, Technicians, Crafters and Tattoo Artists. Designed for the individual, the Artist Membership is inclusive, beneficial, adaptable, and geared to the artist as a small business, hobbyists and crafts people.
All benefits listed above plus:
- The Artist Directory: Fully customizable with unique member log in and back-end management. Dedicated entry for you and your art (great for artists without a website of their own or works to supplement your web presence) the search engine optimized Artist Directory is searchable by keywords, name, style of art, medium, location, and more. Post media and video, bios, documents and resumes, external links to your social media accounts and website, events listings, and more.
- Hire an Artist Button – Looking for a Gig? Listed on the top Navigation Bar, this button will direct our community to your special area of expertise. Include in your directory listing your interest in side gigs and job opportunities to increase traffic to your profile.
- Four free featured ads ($200 value) a year in our newsletter that can be used for personal promotion, event advertising, announcing workshops or classes, and more.
- Grant fees waived & early access to auditions, art calls, civic engagement opportunities, performance opportunities and gigs.
- Artist features on socials and website.

Arts Organization Membership
Our Organization Membership connects the places where creativity lives. Venues, schools, nonprofits, and studios; those who build a stronger, more visible arts community across Missoula. Based on annual operating budgets and includes listings on our venue/organization, and education directories as it applies. Includes free Artist memberships to be given to your employees.
All benefits listed above plus:
- Inclusion on two directories as applicable – the Organization directory and the Venue Directory. Both directories are tied to your individual login with back-end customization while the search engine optimized directories serve to supplement, support, and direct traffic to your online presence.
- Four featured ads ($200 value) a year in our newsletter with 50% open rate at over 5K subscribers. These can be used for shows, gallery openings, workshops your organization is hosting, promotion, and more!
- The Arts Card! Inclusion on our Arts Card, designed to get community members out into the city and experiencing varied arts offerings while supporting local businesses and organizations.
- Inclusion on the First Friday Gallery Walk map (new in 2026).
- Back-end management of profile to enter event and directory info.
- Included annual artist memberships for your staff or leadership. These memberships exclude personal featured ads and do not hold cash or in trade value.

Retail Business Membership
Our Retail Business membership is for those “non-arts” places that showcase arts-related events and activities such as cafes, breweries, dispensaries, and more, including those who host First Friday, art shows, dance parties, etc.

- Inclusion on First Friday Gallery Walk map (new in 2026).
- Inclusion on the Arts Card to be distributed by Arts Missoula.
- Inclusion on all applicable directories.
- Two featured ads ($100 value) in our weekly newsletter with a 50% open rate and over 5k subscribers. Can be used to announce sales, art shows, open mics, events, and more!
