In fall of 2019, Global and Cultural Affairs launched a new and exciting programming event, the International Community Speaker Series, which features three speakers in the fall and three in the spring, on an international experience, topic and event. If you would like to be a presenter, please send a proposal to the International Community Speaker Series Committee.
Udo Fluck hosts the evenings, every third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Roxy Theater, located at 718 South Higgins Avenue.
Please join us for the kick-off of our Spring 2020 series on February 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Roxy Theater with a presentation titled: Two Years Living and Teaching in the Sultanate of Oman, presented by Dylan Dwyer, Missoula Musician and Educator.
Dylan will share personal stories and anecdotes, enriched with photos, video and print media resources to describe his experience living and teaching overseas in Muscat, Oman, from 2016-2018 at the American International School of Muscat. He will focus on the unique history of Oman, cultural differences between the Arab world and the United States, as well as the American public school and international school educational system. Be our guest for an engaged conversation about the importance of fostering a global perspective.
Another “Window to the World” for Missoula that is FREE and open to the public!
