This exhibition is a chance to showcase a powerful collection of artwork that explores the journeys of strength, resilience, and hope experienced by fighters, survivors, previvors, and all those whose lives have been impacted by these diseases.
Through art, The Colors We Carry seeks to create a visual dialogue around breast and ovarian cancer—bringing awareness to these diagnoses, sharing stories, honoring those affected, and encouraging meaningful conversations. As part of the October 9 reception, Frame of Mind will also welcome tattoo artist Schaefer, owner of Blaque Owl, who will be offering special flash tattoos inspired by the themes of the exhibition.
The tattoos will provide another meaningful way for guests to express themselves and literally carry a reminder of strength, resilience, hope, or someone whose journey has touched their lives.
At its heart, The Colors We Carry is about more than cancer awareness. It is about the people behind the diagnoses—their stories, their courage, their challenges, their victories, and the communities that surround them.
Together, we can use creativity to spark conversations, bring awareness, honor those impacted, and inspire hope and change.
