Two days, seven venues, 30 events, one blood drive, a bingo bonanza, 300 performers, and so many new memories later, Missoula on Main 2025 is done. Every year this event brings people out of their homes and into the community to celebrate the ending of one year and the beginning of another surrounded by the vibrant tapestry of Missoula’s arts and culture ecosystem.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who came and danced, sang, drummed, created, and played with us at Missoula on Main. This event is a labor of love, and each year we are reminded why we do it.
See you next year!

First Night, A History
The New Year’s Eve festival of the arts known as First Night began in 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts, as a project of local citizens who had originally met to plan a celebration of the nation’s Bicentennial the following year. Their desire was to re-energize the downtown area, and what emerged was an annual event based on four guiding principles: Community, Celebration, New Year’s Eve, and Art.
