Amanda Kaye Bielby is a plein-air painter who uses the techniques and skills learned as an industrial painter in my art to satisfy her passion for building and healing. Working in soft pastels, watercolors, acrylics, and even house paint, some of her paintings are simple strokes of an active resting process to calm her spirits, including landscapes and abstract images derived from river rocks she collects from her walks through Montana. She leads plein-air groups around Missoula, going to local parks and trails to be outdoors and paint the scenery as a group. Amanda is a versatile jack-of-all-trades painter known in Missoula for painting and restoring murals and faux finishes. She enjoys therapy-based art and plein-air painting to soothe the soul. She shares her expertise with both adults and children.
Artist Statement
Pain and Seclusion can open our eyes to beauty and appreciation of things that are not obvious.
For me, Art is a contribution and a release of pain, Seclusion, and appreciation.
Art is a path of relaying experiences that can not be simply put into words.
My individual experiences are why Art bounces from complex weirdness to simplified beauty.
Art is Life.
